CJ 255 Criminal Courts System Credits: 3
This graduate course addresses the history and development of the criminal courts in America. Topics include comparison of state and federal courts, federal procedures, basic rights and liberties of all U.S. citizens including victims and the accused. In addition, the roles of judges, prosecuting attorneys, defense counsel, police, and probation officers and other court-related personnel in the criminal court process are covered in detail.
