UMT is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of the "2011-2012 Top Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities" by the Military Advanced Education (MAE) magazine. UMT has won this title two years consecutively. UMT is listed in the MAE's 5th Annual Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities, published in December 2011.
"Let me congratulate you and the entire staff at the University of Management and Technology for the inspired effort that you put into making it easier for our men and women in uniform to advance their careers by enhancing their educations" said MAE Associate Publisher Glenn R. Berlin. "The men and women that serve our nation do so with true devotion and the same can be said of your faculty and staff."
UMT offers military scholarships for military personnel, veterans and spouses. Qualified military personnel and veterans can earn a degree without any out-of-pocket expense after TA, GI Bill, or DANTES benefits are applied. A free-of-charge Textbook Loan Program is available for active duty personnel. Up to 75% of the required credit hours for an undergraduate and 50% for a graduate degree can be transferred. UMT follows the AARTS, CCAF and SMART credit guidelines. It accepts CLEP and DSST scores for college credit.
UMT is an LOI school in the GoArmyEd system and a member of Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC). It is a university participant in USAF's Air University's Associate-to-Baccalaureate Cooperative (AU-ABC) program. UMT is a strategic partner of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU).
UMT was also selected as a "Military Friendly School for 2012" by G.I. Jobs magazine in September 2011, which ranks UMT in the top 20% of all colleges, universities and trade schools nationwide.
