CJ 340 Constitutional Law Credits: 3
This course covers the foundations for understanding constitutional law, the guarantees given in the U.S. Constitution to citizens, and the effect of constitutional amendments on the criminal justice system. Topics include a historical overview of constitutional law, the role of the Supreme Court of the United States, the guarantees of civil rights and civil liberties, the Bill of Rights, the other amendments, changes in Constitutional law and interpretation over time by the U.S. courts system as well as civil liberties within the American criminal justice system.
